Sensear was recognized for winning Occupational Health & Safety Magazine’s fourth annual New Product of the Year contest in the hearing protection category for its new innovative new Smart Plug product. Sensear has presented its trophy during the National Safety Council Congress & Expo 2012 in Orlando.

Based on its recent analysis of the personal protective equipment (PPE) market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Sensear with the 2012 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Differentiation Excellence for its "high-noise communication" devices, including earplugs and earmuffs for industrial settings. Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research to identify best practices in the industry.

Managing Director Justin Miller said that the award reflected the potential of Sensear’s technology to dramatically reduce the incidence of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) in the workplace.

Sensear Pty Ltd has won the Medical and Healthcare category of the 2008 DuPont Innovation Awards. The biennial Australian and New Zealand awards recognize innovation and advances in the industry, science, the environment, and agriculture.
