About Sensear

Sensear is a global leader in developing and manufacturing best-in-class digital over-the-ear and in-the-ear headsets for use with two-way radio and Bluetooth® communication devices.

Founded in 2006, Sensear was born out of industry demand. Local mining companies turned to Sensear to fill a void by designing and manufacturing a rugged, reliable headset with noise-canceling features to protect miners’ hearing while enhancing their wireless communications.

She has proven success as a strategic business development professional, with a track record of success in global sales. Her ability to drive high-growth impact makes her an ideal leader for Sensear.

Amanda's passion for providing better hearing protection in industrial environments stems from her personal experiences. She understands firsthand the critical role that certified hearing protection devices can play in improving employee safety and productivity.

With her expertise in operational and product management, as well as her passion for sales and marketing, Amanda consistently shines in her interactions with employees, distributors, and customers.

René Roos

Head of Engineering

René is a passionate technology leader who brings over two decades of innovation and engineering excellence to Sensear. With a strong background in the medical device industry, René has a proven track record of turning cutting-edge concepts into commercial products that improve lives.

His leadership style is rooted in collaboration and global teamwork, having successfully managed large, cross-functional teams to deliver complex system integrations. René’s most recent role as Director of Firmware & Signal Processing at Cochlear saw him partnering with top players in consumer electronics and hearing technology to drive forward-thinking solutions.

At Sensear, René is excited to apply his expertise in R&D and embedded systems to help shape the future of hearing protection and communication in high-noise environments. His commitment to innovation and user-centered design makes him a valuable part of the Sensear team.

Mark Owen

VP of Sales & Marketing

Mark is a seasoned wireless technology expert with over 30 years of experience helping companies grow through smart marketing and strategic brand development. His deep knowledge of voice, video, and data communications has been shaped by leadership roles at industry giants like BearCom and long-standing work with Motorola Solutions.

Mark’s career spans a wide range of industries—from healthcare and manufacturing to finance and tech—giving him a unique perspective on how to connect with customers and deliver real value. His passion lies in helping innovative companies tell their story and drive meaningful engagement across global markets.
