• In assuming safety responsibility for our Solid Waste division personnel, hearing loss prevention was one of my top priorities. Noise levels at the Transfer Station can top 113 dB and make for a very interesting challenge when you are trying to protect the hearing of employees equipped with 800 mHz and CB radios that must be able to maintain clear communications in a congested, frenetic, fast-paced environment. • EnergySolutions has four uniquely configured hydraulic hammer units (HHU) that employ direct push technology (DPT) to successfully perform sub surface sampling and contaminant characterization in radiologically controlled areas.
